Welcome to OCTRI's REDCap Help wiki. Learn how to get started with REDCap at OHSU, get help building and managing your REDCap project, and expand your REDCap skills.

REDCap was created to put researchers in control of their work. No programming or technical experience is needed to stand up a data collection project. At OHSU, personnel build and manage their own projects with guidance and help from the REDCap Team.

For information about the kind of help and guidance the REDCap Team provides, please review our model of support.

Regarding specific REDCap functionality, the material in this wiki is meant to supplement the help material integrated into REDCap. If you are interested in learning more about a specific REDCap feature, first check REDCap for a video, check the REDCap FAQ, and review the documentation in REDCap.

E-Consent Regulatory & Operational Considerations

  • Studies approved under an external IRB need to inform the IRB of record of OHSU's REDCap e-consent implementation standards.

  • Multi-site studies cannot host e-consents for non-OHSU sites. 

  • Some e-consents include additional technical complexity that requires additional help for which there are charges.
