Introduction

This section focuses on features and functionality that the REDCap Team considers to be elective or opt-in. This is because these features are not foundational to getting data in or out of REDCap.

The REDCap Team thinks of REDCap features and functionality in terms of the core functionality that is either essential to all or commonly used by projects, such as user management, data entry and reporting and exporting, and features and functionality that are nice to have, less commonly used and, often, their related activities could be managed outside REDCap, such as Alerts and Notifications, Data Quality Rules, the API, etc.

The material in this section is intended to: 1) describe OHSU's model of support and OCTRI operations, and 2) supplement the help material integrated into REDCap itselfe.
