Project Lifecycle

The REDCap project lifecycle consists of four main stages:

• Development
• Production
• Analysis/Cleanup (optional)
• Complete

Projects begin in Development, where they are built and tested, before being moved to Production for real data collection. During Production, changes are made via Draft Mode. Projects can choose enter Analysis/Cleanup for cleaning and prepping for analysis. Projects are moved to Complete when they are finished.
