Document ID: 40-400-004

How to view the Transaction module

  1. With the patient selected, open the Transactions module from the left navigation pane.
  2. In the Transactions window, select the Treatment tab and then the Planned tab.

Do NOT add treatment on the Treatment tab. This adds the treatment as Completed instead of Planned. If you do this in error please let your supervisor or an axiUm trainer know so that it can be deleted.

How to plan the treatment code

  1. In the Transaction window>Treatment Tab>Planned Tab, select the New Claim button in the upper right of the window.
  2. Enter the Provider code. You can select the ellipsis next to the Provider field to search for the provider.
  3. Enter the Treatment Code in the Code field. If you do not know what the code is, click on the ellipsis next to the Code field to look up the treatment code in the Procedure Codes List. (see next page)

  1. In the Procedure Codes List, change the Category to the applicable type you are searching for. In my example I used "Diagnostics".
  2. Change the Search On drop down to "Description".
  3. In the Criteria box type a brief description of the treatment you are searching for. I used "Exam" in my example.
  4. Once you see the list of treatment codes, please note that if it contains an icon next to it, you will need to click on the icon to expand the list of treatment codes.
  5. Double click on the applicable code to select it. I selected the Limited oral evaluation D0140 for my example.
  6. In the Transactions window, the code field will now be populated with the code that you've selected. (SEE WARNING BELOW)
  7. Select the Add button to add the planned treatment code.
